Africa will build its own AI champions.
Global labs make the models. Winning the customer takes local languages, local systems and people on the ground. Palete is building that champion for customer operations across Africa and the Middle East.

Why we started Palete
I spent a decade building companies across Africa, from Tunis to Abidjan to Nairobi. I led a support team of 100 people across 10 countries, and I learned what good service costs, and who gets left waiting. Big accounts got a person. Everyone else got a form.
Today the models understand Darija, read a photo of a receipt and listen to a voice note. What remains is the last mile: the rules that live in a senior agent's head, the systems that hold the answer, the dialect the customer actually writes in. That is the work we do, sitting with our clients' teams, country by country.
Europe built its own AI champions. Africa will build its own too, close to the customer. We want Palete to be one of them.
Two founders, one job each
We met at engineering school in Paris more than ten years ago. Before Palete, we spent three years renovating a house and a barn by hand, and sold it for three times the price. Oussama faces the market. Nicolas runs the machine. Every major decision is signed by both.
Oussama Ourahou
Co-founder and CEO · Nairobi
Turns messy sales and support operations into systems. Former Chief Product Officer of GOMYCODE, where he led product, learning and engineering across 10 markets as the school grew to 40 centres. Third-time founder (Kamioun, Faru at Lori); earlier at the World Bank and Oliver Wyman. École Polytechnique, MINES ParisTech.
At Palete: clients, product and sales.
Nicolas Voltier
Co-founder and CTO · Casablanca
Makes AI behave in production, every day. Ten years building simulation pipelines for offshore wind at Shell and Bureau Veritas, running tens of thousands of computations per design on cloud clusters. Research at the University of Cambridge. ENSTA Paris, Université Paris-Saclay.
At Palete: the platform, evaluations, model routing and integrations.
Close to our clients, in their languages.
Nairobi
Engineering and client deployments for East Africa.
Casablanca
Platform engineering and North Africa deployments.
Tunis
Product design and North Africa deployments.
Paris
Client deployments and our HQ office.
Our engineers sit with each client’s operations team, ship the agent and improve it from production data. We speak the languages our agents speak: Arabic and Darija, French, English, Swahili.
From our lab
RegistreMaroc: every Moroccan company, readable.
Every company created, changed or closed in Morocco is published in the Bulletin Officiel: Arabic PDFs with no search. We built agents that read every page and turn it into a registry anyone can search, with a WhatsApp agent that answers in Darija. It runs on the same stack as our client agents.

03 · The answer
Asked in Darija on WhatsApp, the agent gives the RC, the capital and the Bulletin number.
How it works
- Agents read the Arabic notices, including Moroccan month names and French number formats.
- A fast model reads every page; a stronger one rereads only the notices where the first one hesitated.
- Companies are matched on RC number and city, because an RC number is only unique within its court.
- Google data adds a map pin and location, full details for shops such as their website, and a sector worked out from the company name and stated activity.
What it does
- Search a company by name, RC or city, filtered by sector and city
- An alert every Monday with the new notices that match your criteria
- A WhatsApp agent that answers questions about new Moroccan companies, in Darija
For anyone who needs to know who just opened: accounting firms, sales teams, banks and journalists.
Two limits: the Bulletin comes out about a month after filing, and the data starts in 2026.
We hire engineers and operators who want to build this.
